How hard is it to get a job as a part time waiter if you have absolutely no experience?

Not that tough.  1st know what a good waiter does and how it is done....that is, above all don't forget your tables, each time out to the floor check each one and first priority is food hot, 2nd is drinks and be sure to greet the table within 2 min of seating.  Waitering after that is simply following about 20 things going on at one time.

Go around to smaller, less expensive restaurants.  They'll take a chance.  Get your foot in the door anyway possible,  bus tables, wash dishes do anything to get your shot at waitering.

Wow, you hardly got any real answers.

NO it's not easy, depending on where you apply. You can get a job quick at say Chili's or Applebees, but not California Pizza Kitchen or Cheesecake Factory. They will obviously prefer someone with experience.

YOu dont really need any experience as your probly going bk t uni or college or something so most places will train you from scratch,, aint exactly surgery is it! And as long as it isnt gordon ramseys resteraunt or anywhere too posh as i dont think they want new bies and want a bit of experience. When i was in sixth form last year i got a job half bar tender and as a waiter. worked out great and got experience from it. Just phone random joints up n have a chat wit dem n see what hapends.

Very easy. Waiting tables is seen as an entry level position.

not hard at all!! its not rocket science! tell them that your willing to learn! whatever it take to get the job done, and correct!

It should be easy to land a waiters job.

Just look neat and clean and don't cover yourself in perfume when you interview.
