  1. It highly depends on what you want to teach, and where you are located.  In my area (southern illinois) there are a lot of teaching jobs but most are in selected areas (high school math, and special education mostly).  We are saturated with teachers (especially elementary teachers).  Several of the people that I went to college with moved out to Las Vegas to teach.  They need a lot of teachers out there in all subjects and grade levels.  Good Luck!!

  2. Depends on th region.  It took me four years to get a fulltime teaching job in WV.  We have some insanely strict regulations for teachers within this state, and we have among the nations best, here according to opinions from out of state personnel contacts.  I looked out of the area, and was so happy, that it was so easy transferring everything, and immediate acceptance, due to where I received my degree. Enough prideful bragging! lol;p! It really depends on the budget, location, and demographics of the area! Good luck!

  3. well in Texas at least its really hard to find any teachers. they have  billboards up saying "want to teach well hire"  it really depends on where you are but usually teachers are in demand because of the lower pay that they get apposed to other jobs

  4. Well I don't know about the US and Australia but here in the UK it's pretty easy to get a teaching job once you have your qualifications. Like the person above said, schools are always looking for well qualified teachers.

  5. scohols are ALWAYS looking for good teachers.

Be sure to read First Days of School, by Harry Wong and Tools for Teaching, by Fred Jones.

if you know the concepts in those books, you'll have no problem.
