How hard is it to get a job with USPS?

That would depend on how good you are at test taking.  The guide to the test is available at most libraries and book stores.  The test itself is not hard, but the better you do the sooner you will get hired.  If you want some experience you can try it out as a TE (Temporary employee).  Call your local post office to find out what is required.
