How hard is it to get a tourist visa?

My other questions answer said that you could get a tourist visa if your lucky.So how hard is it?

depends on where you are going or coming from. if from Mexico to the U.S. nearly impossible, in this case you have to prove to the american consul to their satisfaction that you are going to return to mexico. proof employment, vacation time, sufficient funds for the trip, not have any immediate relatives that are u.s. citizens and any other thing they can think of, the consul has the final say that cannot be overridden by anyone.
