  1. Not hard. Do you have MONEY? a good GPA at least 3.5

Also a HIGH ACT SCORE OF AT LEAST 20

you want a full ride scholar ship get a 30-35 on the ACT. they will pay you to come there. No kidding. They love brains.

  2. It all depends.  They  love out of state people because they pay a higher rate of tuition than in state students.  Also, if your a minority that always helps.  To get into the LAS program being out of state you could probably slide by with a 3.3 and a 25 on the ACT.  However, if you wanted to get into the college of engineering or business you would need at least a 3.6 and a 30 on the ACT.  I'm currently a student in the college of business at U of I and I've heard people getting rejected from the college of business with a 33 on their ACT.  That shows how competitive it is.  If you wanted to you could apply to LAS and transfer to either engineering or business; however, this is no easy feat.  The average GPA to transfer from LAS to business is about a 3.65 and only about a 1/3 of the people applying are accepted.

  3. U of I is a very difficult school. You need to be in the top 15% of your class so most likely above a 3.8 GPA. Also, you need at least a 30 on your ACT.

Sometimes, these requirements change for in state and out of state but that is the range.

  4. i got in with a 2.8, a 25 act, and a less than awesome essay.  doesnt matter where u live.

  5. It really depends on what you plan on studying.  To get into something like Engineering, have at least an ACT score of 30 (or equivalent SAT.) and get all As and Bs in High School.

If you want to get into Business or Philosophy....well....most likely, you'll get in.

  6. Chicago?

Harder then UC, but it isn't horrible.
