I'm only a high school junior but i've got my heart set on going to Seattle Pacific University. They have a program to study english abroad at Oxford in London which i think would be incredible but i don't know how difficult it would be for that to actually happen. How applicants chosen? How expensive is the tuition for a semester?

  1. Each year this program may have unique requirements and acceptance rates.  If you are set on the Seattle Pacific University's program, then you may have to first get accepted as a freshmen, then apply as an Oxford program applicant.  How difficult it is to get accepted depends both on the base requirements and the competition during your year.

read "why study abroad" and program offerings, then if you have more questions email or call Mr. Weins or Ms. Crouch depending on your name (remember they may be on vacation during summer).

If you are just interested in English programs at Oxford University (I have never heard of the one in London)  you don't need to wait until college!  Here is one example, http://www.asaprograms.com/program/oxfor... for high schoolers and there are many others, probably better.  So get out there, research on the web, contact program current students on Oxford study abroad web forums, and have a conversation with your high school guidance counselor when school starts.  Just learning about the program will make you a stronger candidate for applying to it.

    I hope this helps
