  1. its an ivy what do you think? high SATS, top of class, you need to have a life and do clubs and sports. the usual

  2. It's an Ivy League but I find it surprising how some people can't identify it as an Ivy League school.

Statistically speaking, Cornell is the easiest Ivy League to gain admissions; with "only" an admissions rate of ~24%.

That being said, it's still pretty hard to get into. The average applicant has near straight A's and an SAT score of 2000 - 2100. That is not going to be enough though, you'll need some good extracurricular activities and letters of recommendations as well as a good essay.

Here's a little anecdote from me: I know several people who are now attending Cornell and they all have extremely good grades, high test scores and are just good, all-around students in general.

  3. My friend got in with a 4.0, 5 AP's her junior year, 7 AP's her senior year, captain of a team, president of NHS, and in foreign language societies...

So overall, it's pretty hard to get into. You have to be near perfect.

  4. Really hard.  They let in less than 15% of the people who apply there.  Look up their statistics on princetonreview.com .  Their average test scores are high.

  5. In terms of SAT scores, the middle 50% of first year students got 630-770 for math and 660-730 for reading, so it is pretty tough.  I don't know if it is an ivy league but it should be considered as one, since its a very good school.  If you do well in the SATs then there are lots of other factors like your grades throughout high school, community services, etc.

  6. If you have to ask, you're not getting in.

  7. Well it is a Ivy League school so it's pretty tough to get into.  You'd better have excellent grades, good references, tons of extracurriculars, and a killer admissions essay.

  8. hey, my bro just got there as a freshman. he was one of the top ten in highshcool as a student. he took AP everything. but i dont think you have to go through all of that. but it is a very smart school.

  9. since its a watered down version of a real ivy league school

    i would say

    community services like key club

    4.2+GPA

all A's (some b's are okay)

and take lots of honors classes

  10. I think the acceptance rate is around 20-25%, last time I checked.
