How hard is it to go from automatic on the tree to on the floor?

i've got a '73 AMC and its an automatic torque command on the tree. im going to buy this http://www.jcwhitney.com/B-M-STARSHIFTER-KIT/GP_2001166_N_111+1973+200728284+600003643_10101.jcw

for it. what kind of work do i need to do for this to work?

simple installation, just follow the directions that come with the shifter.
