  1. If you are a good skier go for it! Snowboarding is much easier for people who have tried skiing. My bro is a gr8 skier he tried boarding and was doing diamonds like his 3rd time!

  2. I recently switched. Snowboarding is not very hard, but there are a few things that will take some getting used to: You have to stand sideways going down the mountain, be able to balance without the help of poles, and a few other things. You should try it, and if you don't like it, switch back. Good Luck!

  3. I live in Colorado, and I get up to the mountains about every other weekend. So, I was really used to skiing since I did it all the time. Snowboarding is terrible. No one in the world should ever snowboard. I tried and I died. I'M DEAD!

  4. the girl above me isn't trying hard enough. although you will die the 1st time snowboarding, the other times will be great! i assure you..but if not, you will always have skiing with you.

  5. The beginner stages of snowboarding are harder than beginning skiing.  However, once you get past the beginner stage, progression is typically much faster.  I think people progress faster because it is so much more fun that they push themselves more on a snowboard them they did on skis.  I suggest that you give yourself about 3 to 5 days on snow before you make up your mind - if you do that you will likely stick with snowboarding!  You should try it.
