  1. I don't know, but I do know you're going to need a new left engine gasket (I replaced my stator).


  2. not that hard, you should get a shop manual clymer makes a decent one. Remove the gear shift and foot peg.then remove engine case cover. You will see a clip holding the starter in place. remove the clip and unbolt the starter. installation is the reverse of removall. make sure you have something in place to catch all the oil!

  3. Virago's are infamous for there starters going out.

    The first one is hard

    The rest of the 10 or so you will go thru will be easy.

    You will be a master!

    You will write a book and be rich!!

    Don' t forget the oil light!

    You will be expert at that too :)
