How hard is it to learn how to skateboard?

What would I need to know before I learn and HOW do I learn? Can I teach myself?

It's not that hard and you can easily learn on your own.

First, you should buy a half-decent skateboard from a skateshop. Buy some decent skate shoes if possible.

The best thing is to learn how to ride it well and to get used to balancing on it. Then if you want to practice tricks start by doing ollies, then kick flip etc. Watch videos on youtube that teach you how to place your feet on the board.

ge some firends or make friends that jkknow how to skate or even better get friends to learn with you  um yeah you can but i suggested be with someon

Well if you have balance, in about a day you will be rolling around with out MUCH of a problem. After a few days you will have the hang of just skating.

tip of advice- loosen your trucks to your comfort level.

it makes it easier to turn and is good for starting :D
