Okay so I know nothing…and I mean nothing, about driving a car. Im 19 an feel as though its about time I got stuck in and started lessons. Ive put it off for the past 2 years due to the fact Im terrified an have no faith in passing as I think it will take me so long!!! I really donot believe its possible. My friend has offered to take me out in his car an show me basics before I start lessons so I feel a little more comfortable but really is it as hard as I feel its going to be?

  1. It's really easy to learn :) you should know how to work with clutch and brake :P that's all lol

  2. driving is not hard, but is probably the most dangerous thing that most people do on a regular basis. Skip the friend and take lessons from a pro.

  3. If you're keen then no problem.

As with all aspects of learning, an interest first and a love  work in combination with making the whole learning experience enjoyable and the aim attainable!

Go for it and focus with the above in mind :)

  4. No...

Practice with someone on a daily basis. It could be a friend, or a relative. Make sure that they have excellent driving knowledge, and that they have the patience to be sitting beside you, while you learn.

Always drive at least a car length behind the car in front of you. If you have to make a fast stop, you do not want to crash into the front car. When going fast, you will need even more than one car length in order to come safely to a stop, so understand and observe the two-second rule. Take weather and road conditions into account.

Know your vehicle; how long it takes to stop, the responsiveness of the steering wheel, etc.

Use caution when driving. Do not speed, nor drive too slowly.

    Never drink and drive.

Never drive if you are very tired.

  5. no its not hard at all.it just seems totally daunting at first but when you start learning you will realise how automatic every thing becomes.

    good luck

  6. not hard but you need to relax

  7. Well, I learned when I was 14, most do around 15.  So it really can't be that hard.

    You have to relax.

If you go into it thinking you will fail, you will.

  8. it is easy. try going to an amusement park and practice bumber cars or go to a go-carting place and practice. After warming up for a few days ask your parents to teach you some basics, then go to your lessons and learn.

  9. well , im 18 and got my license before a month ...

first lesson i was so d**n scarred and though that i will never be able to drive a real car in a real street >_> ..

after 30 lessons and 3 driving tests  i finally passed !!!

why i failed the first 2 tests ??

...because i was terrified and kept the idea of fail in my mind which made me not focus in the driving itself ...

get your hands on the steering wheel , set your chair the way you feel like it .. turn on the radio and have fun !!

now i enjoy driving sooo much !

sometimes i take my car out for nothing .. but to enjoy the driving thing ! =D

its so d**n fun once you get used to it ..

the key word is ... RELAX FOR GOD SAKE ITS JUST A d**n CAR !!!

    ^_-

  10. i think everyone feels like u about driving but once u start driving and u pass that test u will feel a weight lifted off ur shoulder the test is not hard at all and if u have a friend with a really small car ask them if u can barrow it for the test because it will make everything smoother

  11. Start in a mall parking lot. It's not that tough.

  12. It all depends on your appitude. I only had 8 lessons and passed first time but I was told by my instructor that I had a natural ability and everything just fell into place. Guess I was just lucky.  I had watched my dad and brother drive and would "pretend"  to drive in my bedroom with boxes to act as the pedals.

  13. I suppose it depends on where you are, and what kind of car you drive.

I took 6 hours of lessons (minimum required legally) and that's all the lessons I ever took.

Driving an auto is tremendously easy, while driving a manual takes a bit more technical skill.

  14. it is very easy , not hard at all

  15. It's really not that hard. Go with your friend to an empty parking lot and drive sloooowly around to get a feel for it. Have fun!!

  16. it is not hard at all, common sense, you just have to be aware and watch all the other drivers.
