How hard is it to move to Australia?

I have always wanted to move to Australia but i have heard that its quite hard to be granted a visa to live there. Is this true?

Australia has a point system - the more points, the better for you.

Go and have a look on it's government web page.

Go to google.com.au and search for Australian Government.

It's a difficult place to get into - or was when Johnny ruled! It can depend on where you come from too, easier if you are coming from UK and have skills that they require. I came on a business visa which allowed me to get a business , fulfil the criteria (hard slog!) become a permanent resident and then after four years was made a citizen. It wasn't easy, but worth it. There are several websites to get info from- obviously the Australian governments own site is the best. Try a google search and I'm sure you'll find the answers there, although be prepared for hard work ahead - Do not use a lawyer to gain the visa, they are unnecessary and very expensive. I lived in London - went to the Aussie Embassy there, paid a few pounds, had a business plan and got my visa!
