  1. It depends on how strong you are, which tools you own, etc. Some places have deals on installation - if installation costs $50 and the tools cost $75, it might be in your interest to have it installed, especially if the wiring is non-standard.

  2. It should take you less than an hour.

To fit the door you will need a drill and drill bits. The screws are normally supplied (often of the torx variety so you might need a torx s***w driver). There should be a paper template to show you where to drill the holes in the reverse of the door. You might need to adjust the springs in the door depending on the weight of the door. Dont forget to put the handle on the door before you fit the door!!!

You might need a jigsaw to reduce the height of the skirting plinth so that the door doesn't hit it when it opens.

The amount of plumbing equipment depends on the current set up. Dishwashers have just the one cold water supply and one wastepipe.

Finally you will need a fused spur for the 13amp power supply.

Don't forget to make the water hardness adjustment (the instructions will show you how to do this)

  3. How hard it is depends on if it's a new installation or replacement of existing. If it's new, It's best you hire a licensed plumber and electrician because, permits will be required for both plumbing and electrical. If it's replacing the existing, you can do it yourself providing your strong enough to horse the fixture around or, can get help. Removing the existing fixture means removing the screws holding it in place. Then disconnecting the electric by removing the plug from the electrical outlet under the counter. Next, remove the drain line from the stand pipe under the counter and have a pan handy in case there's water in the line. You should be able to slide the old fixture out enough to reach the water connections to disconnect them. A pan or rags handy will help to mop up any residual water in the lines. Reverse the process to install the new dishwasher. It helps if you read the install directions packed with the new dishwasher first.

  4. You do need some plumbing skills -- running water line, testing, along with the actual installation. If you've changed out a few faucets, I'd say go for it -- if not, pay the $100. Our plumber spent about 2 hours with ours-- and he's an expert.

  5. Dishwashers are designed for durability, which means that they’re relatively low maintenance appliance. The few problems that do occur can be solved relatively easy.

  6. You can get an install price from Lowes.  I think it's $100.

There is 1 hot water hook up, 1 drain, and 1 electrical connection.

If you are replacing a dishwasher and make sure the new one will fit, just follow the directions that come with the new one and you'll be all set.

  7. its not hard at all. make sure you are aware of your waterlines and drain lines. you could do it your self. one question, is it a new dishwasher or are you replacing a dishwasher
