  1. I'd definitely reccommend a visit, but seriously.... moving there FROM the US.... if it's just for a while then sure, my parents lived there for a few years, but they came back.  US is the greatest country in the world pretty much, even though currently our economy is suffering.  But all that should change soon.

  2. That sounds sensible.

  3. You should definetly visit before making the choice to live or immigrate there.  Do you have specific reasons for wanting to live there?  You would have to obtain work visas...not easy...or if you are thinkng if immigrating...it takes several years.   People tend to romantisize, idealize "other" places....Canadians want to live in the U.S., and Americans want to live in Canada...each thinks the other place is "better".  You can research visa requirements at the site below.

  4. It is not easy. You have to go through the immigration process and it can take years.

If you have never been to Canada you should go for a visit before you decide you want to live there. You should know what it`s like here winter and summer, there completely different. You mite think it`s nice here in the summer ,but can you put up with the cold dark winters.

  5. well Canada is a heck of big place. One thing you should know is the fact that you guys no longer get 1.60 canadian for your US dollars.

  6. It depends on how much trouble you'd have to go through to move here, switching jobs, selling your house, etc. But it has a slightly higher standard of living. It also depends on where you're moving to/ from.

  7. visit first. then move.

    canada is better by far

but who knows if it's for you or not
