  1. Not to hard, unless it's cast iron, then it's a hard, heavy job.

  2. hard enough ,and you need some one pro to do it .Demolition it's easy ,but re-installation it's difficult .

  3. not to hard. just go to a near hardware store with tubs and tel them how big your tub is.

  4. On  a scale of 1 to 10 probably a 7.

Lots of older construction installed the cast iron tubs and then poured the cement right up to the tub. The walls may not be square and the plumbing has to be redone.

How old is your house and what kind of tub do you have? metal or fiberglass?

  5. Quite labor intensive. It sounds like you have a fiberglass tub. First Measure the door and the tub you have. Then you will need to go to your favorite place that sells tubs. And determine what type of tub will go through the door and fit in the space you have available. Once you have your tub and you are sure it will fit. You will need to remove the old tub. Disconnect all the pluming, if there is not a shut off valve for the water, you will have to turn it off at the main. Which means there will be no water in the house until the job is complete. Fiberglass tubs will not fit through the door, but can be cut in 2 or 3 pieces with a regular hand saw. Water and sewer will most likely need to be rerouted.

  6. if the tub is cast iron you can break it with a sledge hammer, if not cut it in 1/2 with a saws all-order the replacement tub with the size of your missing tub take into consideration the tightness of the new installation

  7. if your opening is for a 5 foot tub then it's not hard to replace a tub....the problem is removing the old one....u have to undo the drain....cut the walls high enough to pull the old tub out...so the problem is u need to know some plumbing and drywall / tile work or replacing the tub surround
