for me, its quite hard.

bullying affects confidence. so i try to put a confident figure on the outside. when i meet new people, all goes well, until they ask things like "what do you do on the weekends" or "how come you don't have any friends"...the truth is, I WAS BULLIED...but i cannot say it!

How about you?

  1. I don't know how bullying ties in with you not having weekend plans, but yeah. Saying "Someone was bullying me" is difficult. But after 5th grade, bullying tends to seem stupid even to former bullies (at least, in my school).

  2. I was South West of England under-16, under-17, and under-18 Judo Champion. I was bullied once.

    ONCE.

It was over very quickly, ending with me bowing over my unconscious assailant, who was 6 inches taller, 3 stone heavier, and with about 9 inches greater reach than me, in front of an audience of about 200 of my schoolmates (most people don't know the difference between a choke and a strangle).

What may be harder to hear is that just as bullies need victim, just as victims need bullies. It is co-dependency. People become adicted to the emotional intensity of the interaction.

    Don't take it from anyone.

  3. Or, you could just get over the fact.

I did, quite a few times, infact - of course my malevolent demeanour betrayed no allusion as to this fact.

  4. Bullying is a horrible thing and no one deserves to be the victim of it. I think the best thing to do is be open about it. You may be vulnerable but perhaps opening up to people you trust will help. Try not to look back over the pain but to be happy about the future ahead as a stronger person after after what you had to go through. There is nothing to be ashamed about when saying 'I was bullied.'

  5. You cannot be bullied from having friends.  When people try to bully you, just let it slide off your back.  They are the ones who will suffer in the end.
