  1. No harder than any other P&C carrier.

  3. It is not anywhere near as hard as it is to sell insurance for a non-household name.

    Check to see if Farmers is rated as A- by A.M. Best.  Ask the recruiting agent.  The better companies are rated A or even A+.  This is not to say Farmers is not a good company to work with for insurance.

    They are a competition, so I would rather see you come with me.  (Smiles.)  

    Almost all insurance companies are difficult for beginners.  It is going to be a long time before you earn real money, even with my company, but once it starts:  ENJOY!!!

  4. I agree with the Prof.  I believe they may be lead based to some degree so that would help.

    But overall, insurance is a hard sell.  Insurance agents, in general, are considered (regardless of facts) to be scum bags and scam artists.  Just ask my parents. :)  

    Many are respectable.  It's important to get respect and trust with your clients so they know they can trust YOU.  Once you get trust with your clients, they will make your business easier because they will send you people.

    That is the same with any company you work or represent.
