How hard is it to train dogs for agility courses?

it all depends on your dog and you. but i would definitly take your dog to obedience school first. most agility training fr dogs have a pre-requisit that your dog be fully obedience trained anyways. see how you go with that. and then if everything goes smoothly try out some agility training.

agility training is a great way to excersise and mentally stimulate your dog and they love it too. but i cant stress the importance of excellent obedience otherwise you will both get very fustrated.

as for giving it a score i would say 7-8 (kinda hard with 10 being hardest) but like i said it all depends if your a good leader and your dog very obedient.

6 because it can be some what difficult and it also depends on what kind of dog you have if you have a more of a stubborn dog then you are going to get a stubborn outcome. You should take agility course for dogs at some special dog school. I have a dog who's doing agility course at a dog school and its not bad. You should first take a obedience course first its probably recommended for a lot of schools because you have to train them to figure the course properly and plus you don't want your dog to get distracted and take off around the course even though and does happen because the dogs are happy.

If you are working with a good instructor it is very easy!  Some breeds respond better than others, but any dog can be taught the basics and be successful!  So, find a class and join in the fun!
