  1. Como esta o seu Português? Uma boa e rentavel ideia é ser professora particular de Ingles (algo em torno de R$ 60,00/hora) ou ir a alguma escola para executivos como por exemplo a Berlitz

    Curitiba

    Rua Silveira Peixoto, 1.255

    Curitiba - PR cep 80240-120

    Tel: 55.41.3015 2525 - Fax: 55.41.3016 8666

    Boa Sorte

  2. Hey Coco, welcome back!! Lots of Brazilians coming back recently, since economical conditions got better.

Plenty of work here if you are a hard worker. My point of view: there´s more opportunity for entrepreneurs. Salaries are usually not good... But we compensate the lack of money with friendship and human warmness. Believe me, sometimes it is better quality of life than most of the Americans and Europeans, no matter how wealthy they are.

We have both private and public schools and universities here. Public schools are 100% free, including some of the best accredited universities in the whole country. Private schools can be expensive.

The educational system is not fair. The quality of education on public schools is usually very poor, with few exceptions. Private schools can be good, also with exceptions.

With universities it is the opposite: the best universities are public, and private universities are usually expensive and not really good. Best universities are federal universities, but sometimes the States have their own universities, and those can be as good as the federal ones.

I would go to Florianopolis, just because it is SO beautiful. Some good public universities there: UFSC (federal) UDESC (Santa Catarina state owned). Curitiba is the coldest state capital in the whole country, and the people from there are not exactly known as open minded. Florianopolis is not different, but they have beaches ;-)

There is an admission test to join the university, called Vestibular. Very easy to pass for the private universities. Not so easy to pass for the public universities, but you don´t need to be specially gifted to succeed.

  3. Probably is hard. I went down there for my job and put an ad out and must of had almost 300 women looking for a job.
