  1. Medical school is hard and definitely a test of endurance.  You will have to learn large amounts of material and you will be taking exams constantly.  Your life for 4 years will revolve around medical school.  You will spend long nights and your weekends studying for exams that never seem to end.  However, you eventually get used to living in the library and coffee shops with your books.

  2. I have heard that its is very challenging but nowhere near as cut throat and competitive as pre-med.

  3. As a med school graduate I have to say that it is pretty hard.  Its not that the material is difficult to understand, its just that there is a lot of it.  Imagine having to do simple math problems from algebra that are not too hard to do, now imagine having to do 30 pages of non-stop problems like that.  Even though problems are easy, the amount of them makes it hard.  I remember that there were times I felt overwhelmed with amount of stuff to memorize that I had to study on fridays, sat and sundays on top of weekdays.  It definately limits your social life.

  4. Med school hard?  Very, almost as hard as getting into med school.
