How hard is the AP spanish exam for a non-native speaker?

I am a hard working soon to be junior who finds himself in a class of spanish speakers and is going to feel behind. If I practice my Speaking skills (my grammar is fair), do I have a chance at a Five? What is the best way to prepare for this broad of an exam?

PracticebookPracticebookPracticebook. Get Prentice Hall. Trust me, in 2007, the whole class got 5's. And for speaking, get the accent right, don't say TENGOWWW TREYS PEROWS.. say TENGO TRES PERROS :P

I am a non-native speaker who took the AP Spanish test this year....my teacher didn't really prepare us that well, but even still, the test wasn't really that hard. I used to be like you and care about getting a 5 on every AP test, but during your junior year you really stop caring about that (I had 4 AP's) and mainly just want to get a 3 and pass.

But if you really want to do well, get an AP Spanish Prep book over the summer and start preparing yourself. I reccomend Five Steps to a Five by McGraw Hill. Also, make sure to work on your vocabulary...that's pretty important since you pretty much have to write a DBQ in Spanish. Good luck :)
