What kind of training do they make you do? How physically hard is it on your body? If i have a lowerback problem, is it possible to get through training or no?

  1. How hard do you want it to be. It's all up to you to decide. What I mean is, you have to go in with a positive attitude and the inner drive to push yourself. If you have lower back problems but still want to serve than I would suggest you start now doing strengthening exercises to help your lower back. But the most important thing is to check with a doctor FIRST. They will give yo the proper ways to help you. I say this from YEARS of experience. I was a P.E. Instructor in the military and saw men and women tear themselves up by doing the wrong program.

  2. I never heard about somebody who fail the air force boot camp

  3. From what I've heard: it's the easiest boot camp in the USA; easier than Coast Guard bootcamp.

The physical standards are very low.

  4. Why does everyone rag on the Coast Guard? Coast Guard boot camp is the second hardest boot camp second only to the Marines.  Air Force boot camp is pretty easy.  You do PT six days a week for an hour a day.  During the summer you do PT from 6-7 A.M. in the Winter you do it in the afternoon.  Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays you do push ups, sit ups ect... on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays you run for thirty minutes.

  5. Well, If you want the easy way out go in the Air Force. I'm in the Army have been for about 6 years and love it. I will be honest though If I had the chance I would love to transfer to the Air Force from the Army so I could get a vacation for 20 years.  Air Force only deploys 5 months at a time while Army does it for 12-15. Air Force advancment in rank is better  you take tests based on your mos. Army is just time in grade. Air Force does P.T. individually while Army has to do it in groups. I would keep quiet about your back suck it up and when you graduate bootcamp go to sick call and tell them about your back. Thats what I did for my knees and I'm a P2 profile. Which means I get to do P.T. on my own XD.

  6. I went through a long time ago but you have to be able to run, do sit ups, push ups and other exercises.  You should be able to run at least a mile and a half in around 14 minutes or less.  And you march everywhere and carry heavy bags.  We also had to go through a obstacle course that required upper body strength.  Have you passed the entrance physical?  You might not get in with back problems.
