How hard is the test?

How hard is the GED test? IS it a lot harder then a highschool exam? My boyfriend is taking it next week and he is really nervous, would like some feedback from people who have taken it.

My cousin took the GED and passed it with flying colors.  She was never a great student either.

If he took the GED class he should do fine.  :)
