I wanted to know if anyone knows how hard it would be to flush the gas tank on a 1956 Chevy Bel Air? i.e. How do you do it, and how long does it take?

  1. jack the car up place jack stands under it unbolt the tank straps and clean tank out and inspect, if it looks like it could leak they make replacements for a fair price

  2. Remove it and take it to a rad shop, they can clean it chemically and it'll be spotless. You can also buy a chemical "tank liner" that you use afterward. It's great for older tanks that have corroded inside.

  3. how about taking it off and turnning it upside down you can spary it with a water hose or take it to a car wash and spray it and depending on how hot it is outside a day or two should dry.. you could blow it out with a air hose or set a fan infront of it..
