How hard was it for you to get pregnant?

My husband and I have been trying for over a year now. I went to the Dr. and we discussed strategies to rule out any possible "timing" issues. I felt better after going to the visit, but now I don't feel so optimistic. I know things take time and if there are issues with either one of us, there are options out there to help. I just need a little encouragement.

  1. I am a woman blessed with the ability to get pregnant rather easily.  My children are 16,12 and 8.  My 12 year old was conceived one month after Norplant was removed.

More recently, on July 30th I had a miscarriage. (5 wks)  It was my first "failed" attempt at pregnancy and it was a little scary.  It was also a blessing because my current boyfriend/fiancee/love of my life was told he was sterile as a child.  We're 36, and he never thought he'd be a dad and I'm excited that we may be able to share that.

If you've gotten your timing issues straight, everyone is healthy and taking care of any chronic health concerns etc. I say keep at it and keep your chin up.

I like MYMONTHLYCYCLES.COM to track my O days.  We call them the "purple bunny" days.

  2. I'm nineteen years old, and have been trying for 13 months, give or take.  But I was on depo provera, so natrually it still may take awhile until I can conceive.  Every woman is different.  Do you chart your cycles?  It can help you to learn a lot about your body.  I just started, and I wish I had started a year ago..

    Good luck!

  3. we've been ttc for 4 months now, before this i got pg on our first try, second time got pg on our second try, and now we're trying for the third time. both earlier pg's ended in mc's at 4 & 6 weeks. we try to bd on my ovulation days, every other day they say is best. i wait the 2 weeks and when i get my period, i'm so down again. after a few days, i tell myself i have another month ahead of me. i try to stay positive and not be envious of all the pg women and friends i seem to notice around me. i'm stressed more than ever but we just have to believe no matter how hard it is, that we will get our day too, we will get pg.

a lot of women feel this way, so know you are not alone.

  4. I knew a lady who got pregnant  every nine years !!  3 kids  nine years apart!!

look parenting is tough and you will need to learn to be patient so start now...  relax   take a vacation and  remember normal ovulation is once every month usually the 14-17th day after the 1st date of your last period.  So timing is everything   relax  enjoy your intimacy and dont make it such a job to get pregnant. Stress is a no no when trying to get pregnant
