How hard will it be to learn the piano?

I know it's a stupid question, but I have to ask.

I've always wanted to learn, but I never acted on it until now. And being thirteen, I really wish I could've started earlier, 'cause I don't want to be twenty three before I can play some of my favorite songs.

I used to play the violin, and hope to take it up again come the time I can buy a new one. I also grew up around music, can sing, and play several chords on the guitar, so I have a pretty good musical background...

So how long do you think it'll take to learn and be pretty decent. And will it be terribly hard?

  1. God bless you :(

  2. if you set your mind to it you could learn it in about 6 years. Im 13 and play almost any instrument i play guitar mostly and if you want you can see me playing guitar on facebook the link is http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?... (im wearing crazy zebra pant's). If you have access to a piano I might be able to show you some stuff.

  3. Well, its not easy, just to let you know, if you want to learn the basics, thats one thing but to really learn how to plar piano, is a whole nother thing, so dont you ever for a second get to thinking that its easy cuz its not!!

  4. you have to really concentrate at it, at first. but once you get the hang of it and practice A LOT, it'll be really easy. and it's fun, too. I don't really play the piano anymore.. but I enjoyed it a lot.
