How harmful is black walnut?

Question

i got some black walnut wood the other day to make something out of it..and then i found out its harmful to animals and plants...but is it to humans and how harmful....i did some sanding and i probbly inhaled some..if i knew it was harmful i woulda wore a mask...

I don't think it is really poisonous to humans, but I know nothing will grow under a black walnut tree.

You could call poison control.

They're only harmful to some types of plants through their spreading root system. The roots have a type of toxin. You'll be alright.
