  1. What's wrong with asking questions????

Uh.. I wouldn't listen to someone who had a problem with questions.  hmmmm.

  2. I was well along with my research on global climate change when I saw the film.  I was impressed with how it presented itself, and only saw one shortcut I wished they hadn't taken.

I didn't learn much, since I'd already been digging into the topic, but I did pick up a few bits here and there.

The film isn't perfect, but it should be enough to raise awareness and prompt the people who see it to follow up with their own research.

There are those who equate Gore with the topic, but he's been involved in learning about mankinds impact on the planet for decades.  It culminated in the film and other efforts to increase awareness.  In my case, the documentary reinforces my own drive to do something, whatever I can, to improve my own carbon footprint and help ensure that my grandson has a chance for a promising future.

  3. it hasn't. I try to let fiction have as little impact on my life as possible.

  4. Well global warming is real.  But what is causing the global warming is up for debate.  Many scientists say that the CO2 levels actually go up after the temperatures go up!  So that means the CO2 levels are not to blame.  Let's just look at the issue from all angles and find out what makes the most sense.

I think the Politicians have hijacked the global warming issue and have tacked on their own agenda to trick people into allowing a carbon tax.  I've read articles from many scientists who say the ocean produces much more CO2 than human beings.  And the warming is happening from the suns activity not from greenhouse gases.

EDIT:  Alihusen, it's never wrong to raise questions!  You're wrong for having that kind of close-minded approach to science.  Science is ongoing and always changing.  Scientists have to change their  hypotheses and their minds all of the time to come to the right conclusions.  Don't try to silence anyone's questions EVER!  No one ever knows it all and questions only help us to learn and understand more.

"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing."

  5. I thought it was pathetic piece of garbage with chicken little scientist trying to scare everyone.  It made me realize that are educational system needs to be restructured if this is the best we can produce.

  6. I now view global warming as a wonderful diagnostic tool for mental illness.  The mental illness in this case would be the inability or unwillingness to think for one's self.  Al Gore's movie quickly determines who suffers from this condition.

  7. Seeing that most of his movie relied on Hollywood special effects and not reality the only change I had is that I see that this movie was just a tool to get people to believe what Algore wanted them to believe rather than to believe what was real.

  8. Al Gore's science is missing critical data, so is the rest of academia. All of the sciences consider temperature in a calculator except the inputted info has to be correct.

Go to this link to see the heat we are generating on the surface of the planet and the fact we are reacting to heat symptoms with more emissions. http://www.thermoguy.com/globalwarming-h...

Al Gore is representing flawed science, he is not representing a flawed message. We are in trouble and it isn't just about a temperature issue. The toxins associated with emissions are killing us and there is a 100% toxicity ratio in newborns before they take their first breath. Go to http://www.thermoguy.com and scroll down to the picture of the fetus where you can link to the study on US newborns.

Al Gore is an administrator with years of experience administering policy and he knows more about other countries politics than you or I.

I argue that his science is flawed, he has however brought forward an urgent issue that will threaten us as a species and I respect him for it. I have entered a challenge supporting Al Gore on the fact this is very much man made. http://ultimateglobalwarmingchallenge.co...

  9. Fiction based docudramas rarely influence my thoughts at all.

  10. All that movie did was reinforce my suspicion that politicians are crooked.  Tell me we have to do something, but don't lie about it with junk science.

  11. First of all I would like to make one thing extremely clear that global warming has its effects and will have extraordinarily brilliantly devastating effects in next ten years. I you know about global warming dont ask this type of questions taking other's opinions. There are ridiculous answers saying CO2 is produced more by oceans and humans and every damage is caused by sun. I dont agree to any of this and my temperature rises extremely when i read this answers. I want to counter every answerer but i dont have that much time. I am doing studies on Global Warming and its effects and Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore is a reality. I have to stop such nonsensical answers so i want to stop the person asking questions. Henceforth please dont do it. If you have problems contact me: kap_asl_ali@yahoo.co.in, but dont raise this kinds of questions. PLEASE!!

  12. This hoax proves that Hollywood and their special effects have more of an impact than real science and the truth.
