  1. It has exploded..Much like our economy after WW 2,Vietnam


  2. WWI left it devastated, barely above subsistence level  and the Korean war  slowed the recovery. It took until    almost 1970  before  they reached their prewar prosperity. Then their economy took off and increased their GDP per capita by a factor of 10  over the next 40 years and they are now a modern industrial nation.
