Consumerism completely shapes our reality.  The thousands of advertisements that we are bombarded with daily tell us what to like, what to not like, how we should carry ourselves, what we need to be complete, how we should react to situations, how to talk, and what we are lacking to feel worthy.

The question now is when did we cease to be citizens and simply become consumers?

We are sold to...everything from products to life concepts/ideas. Are we individuals or are we fitted into marketing demographics and are personal details sold onto the highest corporate bidder?
