I do not know what you mean by sources: try the Nature of Things by David Suzuki.   If you are wearing clothes, using a computer, using makeup, driving a car, using the bus, riding a bike,using a computer..... Industry had to make it (you did not grow it) you are harming the environment.

   You make garbage and toss it out...to where?? Where does it go.?  and all that stuff.  The environment can handle only so much and no more.   You can't bury garbage forever.   You need that land sooner or later.  Only so much stuff can be hidden in the ocean.  Poison is poison.  Same goes for the air.   The air scrubbers (the trees) die off when it is too poisonous, or we cut them down for pencils and paper.    We are left with dirty air.

OK. Illegal logging? Dumping mine wastes into rivers? Too much use of electricity? And the simplest not throwing garbage into its right container?

Dumping from non-point sources. Excess burning of fossil fuels. Excessive logging. Destruction of natural ecosystems. Filling in wetlands.
