  1. You will find my answer upsetting, but valid. The pill turned women outside of marriage into disposable pleasures for men.

  2. The pendulum has swung back and forth several times since the introduction of the Pill. You had the sexual revolution of the 60s and 70s, almost an expectation that women will be more sexually "free",. then a return to more conservative views after the herpes and AIDS scares of the mid to late 80s, then a loosening of morals again in the mid to late 90s, and then back to a "say one thing, but do another" today.  But those things might have happened with or without the Pill.  There was a similar pendulum swing back in the 20s and 30s, too.

  3. I believe it has contributed a little to promiscuity since women automatically have a contraceptive available to them.

  4. In the 1960s women were sexually liberated. They believed that having casual s*x and enjoying it did not lower their worth as human beings. The pill made it safer to have s*x without becoming pregnant. Men supported this train of thought, mostly because it meant they would get laid more often by more girls. Most men didn't think any deeper into it than that.

  5. I think that one thing that has happened is that the STD rate has increased many times, since people feel safer after the creation and use of the pill.

Many women who would have insisted that a man wait until marriage to have s*x, now demand that a man have s*x before marriage.

I also think that the pill made women less choosey about who they choose to get romantically involved with which causes a number of problems for them and their children.

  6. For me, it meant that I did not have a baby right away after I got married. It was a good thing, too, because I wasn't ready for it.

  7. Women are able to put more into it than used to be.
