  1. their identity got affected a whole lot after they learned that they can communicate with each other on the phone.

tell your teacher that she/he should assign better projects, because yes, this one sucks.

  2. That question doesn't make sense to me either. I can't see how the telephone could affect(if your teacher wrote 'effect', then he or she needs to brush up on English) a national identity. My answer to that question would be: It hasn't.

  3. If you mean usage of the telephone itself, then yes, it is a fairly lame question, as the answer would be, as stated above, pretty much the same as any other country that has the phone.

Now, if the question has to do with the telephone being invented in Canada by Alexander Graham Bell, then yes, Canadians do feel a certain pride to have such an important invention attributed to their identity.

    Edit:

The introduction of the phone had the ovbious effect and benefits of instant (and easy) communication at a distance... As for how that affects a national identity...It's just a strange question, really. It's like asking how elevators make people feel about their country... Sure it's useful on its own, but I don't define my national identity with it.

  4. same as any other country

  5. We have telephones in Canada???? I'm always the last to know these things. *sigh*
