How has your experience with Freecycle been?

It has been very good.  I have offered and received nice items.  I've only had one person who did not pickup an item I offered and didn't respond to my email to see if she still wanted it.  I just passed it on to another fellow who really wanted it.

When severe storms and flooding destroyed  many homes in my area this year, I was able to help many of those homeowners by giving stuff I had packed away in my garage. That helped me too because now I can actually park my car in the garage.  :-)

I love it, I've been able to unload a lot of extra stuff. And get a few cool things, too.

Yes, there were a few flakes, but that is the way of the world.

My friend from work has got a spa, and a coke machine, and he loves it! That reminds me, I have to go check it out again!

I think this website is great the only thing that sucks is that it takes forever for your ad to be displayed I think they may need more moderators. Sometimes your ads don't get displayed I don't know how this works on the other side if there are certain times they are displayed or what

as a moderator and avid recycler, i think it's a great idea and a working system (yahoo's not brilliant, but as for now it does the job). as far as moderating goes, not always easy (some people just don't read the rules!) but generally rewarding. all groups should be more or less self-moderating, so if your messages are taking ages remind your moderators of this... :D
