  1. It depends, will you be needing a tent? Gas Stove? What specialist equipment do you need? Are you travelling alone, or in a group?

    How tall are you, how much do you weigh?

    All this needs to be factored in

  3. If you can't carry it, it's a bit too heavy. Also bear in mind that most airlines have a weight limit of 20kg.

  4. as light as possible if you have to drag it round the world with you ... absolute minimum

  5. How will you be travelling?  If you're going to just throw it onto a bus or train, it can be a bit heavier than if you're going to walk anywhere.

    Just pack the absolute minimum you think you'll need - then throw half of it away!

  6. It depends on where your travelling, if your flying, what you plan to take with you on your trip.  Most airlines allow 15-20kgs and as handluggage 5-10kgs.
