How helpful would it be for me to earn another bachelor's degree?

As of now I'm a Computer Science major with a Math minor and I'm also about to enter Grad school to get a Master's of Software Engineering degree. If I were to take about 4 more math classes, I could earn a Math degree. How will this help? Will I earn more money? Will I have better job opportunities? Thanks for your help

  1. For only four courses, it certainly can't hurt to have a double Bachelor's degree--sets you apart from all the other Comp Sci graduates. However, it really depends on what you want to do after you graduate. You might want to consider a double Master's instead, if the upper-level coursework applies: Master's of Software Engineering and MBA is a good combo for the job market..

  2. You can probably take those courses while you are working on your masters as electives.  Talk with your graduate advisers and do what they suggest.

I can appreciate your dilemma as I have a BS in chemistry and almost a second degree in computer science in the engineering department.  I never bothered to finish the second degree.  And now that I'm retired I start graduate school in the philosophy department of UCF this fall.  My way of rewarding myself for 36 years as a programmer.  Work is fun.
