How high are her chances of being pregnant?

My little sister had her first depo shot almost three months ago. She called me about 2 weeks ago and said she had a positive pregnancy test but took about three more that came out negative. She is only 16 and does not want to go to the dr because her friends mom is a nurse and told her that she should have nothing to worry about. I disagree. I know that getting a false positive is very rare and she has a high chance of actually being pregnant. What should I do? I can't just sit back and wait but I can't say anything to my mom. Please help!!

False positives are VERY unlikely.  A false negative is possible however.  Your first morning pee has the highest level of the hormone so it is possible that the first time she tested the hormone was detected and the times afterwards there was not enough.

Wait two days and have her take another one.  In a few days the hormone level increases and you should know for sure.

HAVE HER GO DOWN TO PLANNED PARENT HOOD OR SOMETHING SHE NEEDS ANOTHER TEST AND IF ANYTHING GET A BLOOD TEST ONLY WAY TO REALLY KNOW IS A TEST AND THAT FACT THAT IT HASNT BEEN 3 MONTHS YET ITS VERY POSSIBLE THAT SHE IS PREGNANT THATS WHY THEY TELL YOU BEFORE YOU GET THE SHOT MAKE SURE YOU USE OTHER METHODS OF BC BEFORE YOU HAVE s*x ITS NOT FULLY EFFECTIVE UNTILL 3 MONTHS HAVE PASSED I GOT PREGNANT ON IT AND SO DID MY LITTLE SISTER

Take her to the local Health Department within your area. They can give her the blood test, which is very accurate. It is also free. All you need to do is have her sign a few confidential papers & they can have a positive or negative answer within a few hours.

Also, I took 1 pregnancy test that came back positive. My other two that I had taken both stated negative. I have a 6 year old son now. I also had my period 3 months into my pregnancy.

she can go to the clinic  and get tested there or she could wait and see what happens with her next 2 periods

I have two friends that got pregnant on the depo shot so yes it is possible, rare but possible. It's also possible that she got pregnant but miscarried early... either way she should be checked out by a doctor. Could you look up information online about others who have gotten pregnant on depo and show her?

im really young and pregnant. i got all negitive test;until i went to the planned parenthood; and they did a free blood test and told me i was pregnant. im not trying to scare you and say for sure she is pregnant but deffiently have her taken to a doctor and get a blood test.

then you will know for sure...all of the test and everything are confidential; so nobody has to know except you and her.

if she doesnt wanna go just tell her better safe than sorry; its better to found out now so she has complete and open options!
