How high do flies and mosquitoes fly?

Question

My brother lives in a high rise apartment on the 20th floor. Upon sitting out on his terrace, I did not notice any common summer flying pests (this particular night). How high do flies and mosquitoes fly?

if flies born on a highest place.. i think it stay and live to that high place.. :)

They themselves don't fly very high, but elevators have helped them out a lot.

It depends on the weather, time of year, and even the available amount of food and suitable environments for procreation.

Most insects do not fly very high, however, as wind picks up the higher you go.
