  1. It doesn't have to be that high

as long as your comfortable ollie-ing and constant with them

    Its a different trick

You can even land them barely ollie-ing but it wouldent be advised

but the higher it is the better as you can catch the flip higher

  2. you have to be able to ollie up ledge not tht high bu you have to spin fast

  3. Way high, like higher than Dave Chapel in Half-Baked

  4. Well i just learned how to kickflip =) and my neibor skateboarded alot and he can do any trick i can name. and he told me that you should at least be able to ollie as high as a curb. I hope my advice helped you.

  5. dude you don't have to Ollie that high to do a kick flip.

  6. He was giving you good advice even though he didn't explain it. A high ollie will help you a lot when you get better and start trying hard grinds (back lips, tailslides, noseblunts). I never practiced my ollie cause flip tricks were more fun and my ollie still isn't too great. But you can learn the kick flip before a ollie if you practiced it since they are different tricks it takes different motions with the feet. Start practicing your kickflip but never the stop ollie.
