  1. Probably up to $4.10 by the end of the year. It is starting to get rediculous, i'm fixing to stop buying gas and move on to other alternatives.

  2. it's never going to stop going up. never ever ever ever...

we need to find some sort of independence from gasoline..

  3. demand is getting higher by the day.it will get out of control.change the way you live .

  4. Well right now the price for a barrel of oil is around $110 dollars (just looked today in my econ class). So gas should be around 3.5-4 dollars soon enough. Also you cant really do anything except maybe use different transportation. It is an item that cant be substituted with other stuff. So you kinda just have to hope it stops rising and car pool or something.

  5. Bet you dont pay $2.20 per litre!

  6. Most economists expect it to hit around $4/gallon in the peak summer months, and then subside to around $3-3.25.

The answer to "who" is causing this is very simple: you (and me, and all other consumers).  Its a simple case of supply-and-demand.  Our worldwide demand for oil is sky-rocketing, especially with China's demand growing almost exponentially.  Unfortunately our worldwide supply is growing at a much slower pace than this, causing the imbalance between supply and demand, and the upward trend in prices.

Unfortunately there's not much that can be done in the short-term.  However, in the long-term, the best thing to do is to alleviate our demand.  With oil prices at their historic highs, there will be more of an economic incentive for entrepreneurs to develop alternative fuel sources.

Additionally, building more nuclear power plants will decrease our demand for our greatest single usage of fossil fuels (power plants).  France already gets over 1/2 of its power from nuclear power plants, whereas the US gets less than 20% of its power from such plants.

Overall its safe to say high prices are here for the short-term, but long-term there are other power sources on the horizon that should assist in the next 5-10 years.

  7. It's going to reach $5.75 a gallon

  8. probably 2 like $5.00

but da people in south africa dont like our President so they changed our gas prices this what i heard from a fren i beleive it's correct

  9. Infinity is how high it will go.

The oil companies and Bush are responsible. Also people who buy SUVs and trucks are responsible because they show the oil company that they have extra cash to spend on gasoline so of course we are going to get killed. The oil companies will take all they can. They have no soul.

What can we do? Get a horse or a bike. Slowly get off of using gas and find another way to travel or another fuel. Stop buying fun things in order to make up for the increase :(

  10. $1,000,000,000,000,000.98

Its being caused by the undersea eels, drinking all the oil and creating a shortage.

It is TOTALLY out of control.

We can eat more sushi, thereby killing a lot of eels.
