f*ck it? Seriously gas has no reason to be this high, if gas gets any higher what would be the point of going to work if your putting your entire check in the gas tank! Im thinking about moving to another country because this is an outrage, over 4 bucks for gas! its painful :(

  1. Of course I wont get best answer but this is the truth, even though nobody likes hearing it.....Gas is not expensive in USA at all. In fact, its very cheap. Its keeping up with inflation just like our food and other things, but for some reason people have started this trend where its hip to talk about gas prices it seems. Gas is only $1 more now, than it was in 2006. Thats pretty cheap. We are only paying $500 more this year on gas because your average american uses 10 gallons a week. If you worked at some low paying job like Tj Maxx or Walmart or something, I would expect that you would have gotten at least a .25 cent raise. A simple .25 cent raise a year on your job (or change jobs if you are not getting this) would cover the change in gas prices. So anybody who thinks they have less money because of gas, isnt taking this into consideration and should reevaluate their spending habits because its not because of gas prices why most americans are broke these days but they love to point the finger at that.

    So lets do the math:

Gas is costing you $250 more this year than it did last year overall.

If you get a .25 cent raise on your job, you should be making $480 more this year than you did last year overall.

  2. If you ask me, gas will eventually hit a price (maybe $6 a gallon) where people will just give up on driving their cars and find other ways to get around or do some serious car pooling. $6 a gallon would be crazy, since most people make about $8 an hour probably, a gallon of gas would be 3/4 of what you make in an hour. Most middle class people will not be able to afford gas if it hits $6 and will start buying seriously fuel efficient cars if they HAVE to drive.

  3. i aint gonna move ,and im not buying a prius.Im working 2 jobs .and my yearly raises the last few years barely cover the rising price of health insurance so i dont buy the theory that the yearly raise should cover the price of gas thats pure bull@#$%. rising gas prices ,food prices health insurance. Its the combined effect of all of these things that make the common worker feel like hes being gangraped by the government

  4. You are not alone my friend.
