  1. 13,665 ft or 4165 m.  It's not only the highest mountain in the Atlas range, but the highest in Africa north of the equator.  It's also higher than most European alpine peaks, although Mt. Blanc is higher.

I climbed Toubkal back in February 1989.  Actually it was more of a walk, albeit a real hard slog because of the deep snow and high altitude, and you do need the proper clothing / gear (ice axe, crampons) and know how to use them.  We were trapped in the Neltner refuge hut on the slopes of the mountain by blizzards for several days before making the ascent.  Bizarrely, the wind had carried with it Saharan dust that turned the surface of the snow an orange tint.

  2. Morocco.

4,167 metres - highest in the Atlas mountain range.

  3. Jebel Toubkal at 4167m is the highest mountain in Morocco and indeed all of North Africa.
