The typical wisdom for estimating the height of a building is approx. 10' per floor.  Therefore, a 53 story building is approximately 530' high.  Most pointed out that the first floor is often taller than the other stories, but what they overlooked is that almost no building has a 13th floor, so that is another 10' to allow for adjustment in estimated height, including a higher ceiling on the first floor.  

Jay_man33 got the metric equivalent correct at 161.54 meters, but missed the imperial measurement (1 meter = 3.2808399 feet).

While you can guesstimate a building's height at 10' per floor, buildings are actually gaining in height at 12' - 16' per floor.  It's just an estimate.

Depends on the height of the ceilings doesn't it? Different buildings have different ceiling heights. In order to find out how high the 53rd floor is, you'd have to measure the floor to ceiling height of one storey, BUT the interior measurement is going to be less than the actual height (because of the structures between the ceiling of one floor and the floor of the one above). So basically... It's hard to say.
