  1. Well, when a woman is RH - and the father is RH +, the woman gets a Rhogam shot at 28 weeks.  When the baby is born, if the baby has a + blood type, she gets another Rhogam shot.

The concern is not with the first baby, but the second.  IF the mother is negative and the baby is positive, and IF the two bloods mixed at some point during delivery, then the mother's body would produce antibodies.  Those antibodies woudl "attack" a future pregnancy if that baby had RH + blood type, and would/could result in miscarriage.

If it is the first pregnancy, or you have followed the procedures of getting Rhogam injections in prior pregnancies, then the chances are not any higher than anyone else.

    I hope this helps!

  2. i had a miscarriage and right after my d&c i got that rhogam shot in my bum... i was positive i dont think the father has anything to do with it they tested me not my fiance
