How high to hang TV?

Question

How high off the floor should I hang my LCD. Currently it's too high. I want my boyfriend to lower it, is there a standard height. My neck really hurts to look at it.

measure the vertical distance to your eyes from the floor while sitting in your viewing couch.  The TV centreline should be at that level regardless of how big it is.

I would mount it such that the center of the screen is at the same height than your eyes, with your head in normal straight position.

hi  depending on your seating position  and how high is your couch . when i mount  flat panels  depending on size.  36 inch to 42 inch  from the floor   from the bottom edge of the panel hope this helps.

as a general rule:

Your eyes should be level with the center of the screen when at your normal seating position.

There's viewing distance calculators and all kinds of angles, measurements, etc. you can get into if thats important, but the most basic is what was stated earlier....
