How hot do you think it will get this summer of 2008???

I'd just like to know some opinions towards how hot it will get this summer. I live in Rhode Island, and it has hit 97 degrees today. It normally almost never hits 90's in the summer, but its not even summer yet and its already 97!!! I just can't imagine how hot it will be getting in July. Does anyone have any idea if the temperatures are going to get substantially higher? I'm also wondering does anyone else have a large temperature rise from other years? Because today RI beat the record of 95 degrees on June 9th in 1985.

Oh my God where I live we are sweltering!  The temperatures have flirted with 100 since Saturday and I live right by NYC.  The humidity is making it oppressive.  I think that we should have a normal summer...this is just an early heatwave.  Either way, bring on the heat baby!!

yeah i live in austin, tx, and that is an avg day for us. i think it can't get much worse. the northeast is getting hammered by the heat, and i don't think it can get too much hotter. try to stay cool and hydrated and wait for it to calm down.
