  1. As long as they drink plenty of water and have sunscreen on it shouldn't matter.

  2. sunblock, frequent breaks out of the sun and lots of water. i would say if it's over 90  stay inside.

  3. I live in Az  85 is good weather

I would say 105-115 is too hot

  4. Its more that your children have lots to drink like water, wear sunblock, and have a cool place to go to to cool down. If the adults moniter the kids closely, and make sure the kids go in periodically, the kids will be ok.

  5. Heat is one thing, HUMIDITY is another.  I would have the kids play outside if the weather was below 85 degrees generally, but if the humidity is high, I'd be more cautious.

Watch the kids closely.  If they start looking really flushed, or if they start complaining of feeling faint, stomach ache/nausea, or become lethargic bring them inside.

And make sure they drink PLENTY of fluids throughout the day.  Dehydration can be devastating in little kids...far more so than adults.

  6. I don't go by the temperature, honestly.  My kids play outside in all kinds of temps.  I worry the most about the most harmful time of day from suns rays, not about the heat.  So long as they have enough to drink and know to come in if they're too hot, why not let them play?  I just keep an eye on them and if they're starting to look red-faced or too sweaty, I'll have them come in for a break for a bit.  Just remember sunscreen and water to drink and they'll be fine.

  7. kids r kids..

Temperatue doesnt rly matter as long as there shade & water ur settt..

    Let them play

    dont forget sunscreen

    Water

& of course shade.. its to hott to be inside:)

  8. at any age stay in from 10 am till 3 pm if possible to avoid the suns most powerful rays during the summer

i go out during that time with my 6 year old but i always have water & try to stay cool.

  9. AS a preschool teacher I know the state of California the legal temps are 100 degrees the children must be inside regrdless ifit is water play or not and anything below 60 degrees... It is the state regulation

  10. its never too hot. just make sure they stay hydrated, wear sunscreen and a hat. you don't want to raise one of those kids who rather stay indoors playing video games.

if you have a pool or beach near you then thats even better. its summer, be outside. Most people are stuck indoors during the winter, summer is meant to be enjoyed

  11. Kids don't melt. I survived 100+ heat every summer growing up.  Need to drink plenty of water - avoid sunburn etc. Humidity will make it feel worse, but none will hurt a kid to be out in.  They will come back inside when tired and cool off.

  12. Over 75 F with more than 20% humidity , limit time outside to 1 hour at a time.

over 80 with more than 15% humidity limit it to 30 min.

Over 90,  limit it to 15 minutes, unless humidity is high, (over 20% then not outside at all.)

and no matter what the temp, SUNBLOCK.. lots of SUNBLOCK

If kids are playing in the sprinkler, or the pool, you can double those times.
