How hot should my hot water heater be set too? mine was set at 165 degrees! i put it on 120 is that ok?

  1. Oh god, yes! It is supposed to be set at 120. 165 will give you 3rd degree burns in a matter of seconds. Keep it at 120.


  2. 120 is good it should never be set over 125 or it can cause burns.

  3. 120 is fine in the Summer time, when winter comes you will have to turn it back up some to overcome the cold coming in as you shower.
