Simplest way  to download videos from youtube or metacafe is to use the add on -- "Video DownloadHelper " for ur firefox browser.

U cannot get a better solution than  this very useful add on.

When you are watching a video on Youtube, copy the link in the address bar at the top of your browser.  Then open a new take and type in www.keepvid.com.  You will see a white bar with the word "download" on the right.  Paste the like there and click download.  Then a new page will show up with two options.  Click on the one that says download .mp4.

i have a better option ... u dont have to convert or anything ..

copy u tube link .. go to www.mediaconverter.org and paste the link ... the site automatically converts ur FLV format to the FORMAT u choose ... like AVI WMV even AUDIO formats such as mp3 WMA..... just sit tight and njoy !
